Play Guide

Welcome to our game
play guide. The world of Half-life 2 is an incredibly complex
environment for a multiplayer game to take place in, So here's a guide
to some of the tactics and tricks in the game. This game is instant fun
for all levels of players, but underlying this fast paced co-operative
action game is another level of game-play where players are tested to
the maximum so you can really push your clan to achieve the highest
scores possible. To do this requires skill, strategy, knowledge of the
environment and most of all co-operation.
W hen you connect to
a server you can see the current mode of the game at the top left of the
screen.
If there is a game in
progress you will join the battle, if elimination mode is on you will
wait as a spectator until the current round is over. if elimination mode
is off you will join the battle straight away. If no game is in progress
when you join the server you will spawn in the ready-room where you can
setup the next mission and configure the game, there are a lot of
options available in the ready room for clients (YES that means you not
the server admin) to configure so please read our ready room guide.
There's never been anything like it before.
The player who has
the highest rank (rank is displayed in the info panel in the top left of
the screen) at the end of a level will lead the team as Gordon Freeman
and be spawned as Gordon Freeman himself for the next level !
In Co-operative mode
your goal is to get through the level as a team, points are awarded for
killing NPC enemies and finishing the level. Extra points are awarded
when two or more players finish, and if any players fail to complete the
level the whole team loses points (remember this is CO-OP!). teamwork
and efficiency are rewarded with bonus points which give the players
extra lives
Follow Freeman
smoothly links multiple maps together into "chapters" and the scoring
system gives you a total score for the entire chapter. after completing
a chapter players are returned to the ready-room to vote for which
chapter they wish to play next.
When someone
completes the level, a count-down to the next level is started and the
others have to try and finish before the end of the count-down to
receive points. So don't trigger the end level if your teammates are a
long way back.
When playing with
elimination mode on remember to play as a team, stick together, watch
each others backs and co-ordinate your attacks. If you die and you don't
have any extra lives left you will be eliminated from the battle and
spectate while your teammates attempt to complete the level, If the
whole team dies, then the level will restart again, you'll all start
with the saved weapons, ammo, health and score.
Total team points are
shown on the bottom left of the scoreboard.
Health is limited, so
make sure you share what is around keep your team alive and you will be
rewarded (two guns are better than one!).
