Unique Player Spawning System

The Follow
Freeman design incorporates a generic spawning process. To guarantee all
the players are spawned safely and correctly into each level. This
applies to normal spawn situations as well as those instances when the
player begins the level in a vehicle.
Player spawning at the beginning of a
level is closely tied with the Save/Restore system, forming the basis of
the concept of ‘Mission Start’. Players included in the Save//Restore
at ReadyRoom voting, or at the end of a level, are assumed to be those
that will continue playing in the next level. The system will wait for
each of the players in the Save/Restore to connect to the new level (for
a period of time specified by the cl_enterlevel_delay console variable),
and once all have connected successfully, the Mission Start will begin,
allowing all players to begin the level at the same time.
