Map based weapon
management system

Once a player is
in the Save/Restore system their weapons are carried over from one level
to the next. There are situations, however, where a player will not be
able to retrieve their weapons from this system. Most obviously, this
occurs if a player joins a game in-level and they are not present in the
Save/Restore system. In such circumstances, the player will receive map
defined default weapons. Map creators can provide a basic weapon
inventory relevant to the map without having to provide areas of the map
where a player would pick up items lying around (although this can still
be done, of course). Since we have included sets of player animations
that do not include weapons, this can be used also to define no weapons
on a level (as evident in the ReadyRoom), which is convenient after a
weapon strip.
